What is special about cling film? Cling film is characterized by its ability to stick to smooth, glossy surfaces like e.g. glass or polished metal without adhesive.

What is adhesion? Adhesion forces are so called Van-der-Waals forces (named after dutch nobel prize winner J.D. van der Waals). Van-der-Waals forces appear due to polar moleculs which induce weak electrostatic forces between two surfaces.

What are the advantages? Cling film can be removed without leaving any residue and is reusable.
